Lower Back Strain

  • Occurs when the muscle fibers are abnormally stretched or torn.
  • Lower back pain is the second most common cause of missed work. Almost every person will experience lower back pain at some point in their life.
  • Factors that contribute to lower back pains are lack of exercise, obesity, smoking, and improper lifting technique.
  • Treatment for lower back strains consist of resting, taking medications, and doing exercises or physical therapy.

Calf Muscle Tear

They are very common, particularity in men of the age 40's to 50's.  Usually, these tears happen due to common things, playing a sport, running and even not stretching before exercising.  The main reason to getting a calf muscle tear is muscle tightness, to help prevent it always stretch before doing any physical activities.  

Treatment:
  • Swelling control
  • Elevation
  • Compression
  • Ice
  • Pain Control

Symptoms

Symptoms include:
  • Swelling, bruising or redness, can have open cuts due to the injury
  • Pain even when resting 
  • Pain when the specific muscle is used 
  • Weakness of the muscle or tendon
  • Cannot use the muscle at all

Muscle Tears

A muscle tear, or strain, is a stretching of the muscle or tendon. Orthopedic surgeons says is the most common injury in sports. The tearing can also damage small blood vessels causing bruising and pain, the pain is caused by irritated nerve endings around the injury.
